Dear All,
On behalf of the Federazione Italiana Sport Croquet, I am glad to announce the "8th Coppa del Serchio" Golf Croquet Open Championship 2015, which will take place on the 19th-20th September at the "Acquedotto" Sporting Centre in Lucca. The event will be part of the new European Masters series (http://www.eurocroquet.com/european-masters/).
The tournament will consists of at least 4 round of 13 point single games scheduled following a flexible Swiss format, followed by a knock-out among the top four players; the knock-out matches will be best-of-three 13 point games. Double banking may be used depending on the number of players, and time restrictions.
The entry fee is 15.00 Euros, to be paid at the start of the tournament; a Gala Dinner for the players and their companions will be held on Saturday night: it will cost about 35.00 Euros per person; please confirm your attendance when sending your entry.
The lawns will be available to practice during all the week before the tournament. Entries and any question can be sent to info@croquetitalia.it , but we would encourage you to use our reservation page, where you can also find other information about the event.
Lucca's medieval and Renaissance features are enclosed in its thick sixteenth century walls, a characteristic of this beautiful Tuscan town on the left of the Serchio river. Many events will take place in Lucca during the “Settembre Lucchese”. Please pass this announcement around among your fellow players.
